About the Artist

Damien Hirst is a British contemporary artist, born on June 7, 1965, in Bristol. He currently lives and works in London. A defining figure of the 1990s, he established himself as one of the leading members of the Young British Artists (YBA) movement. In 1995, his bold and provocative work earned him the prestigious Turner Prize.
